Rising from the forgotten mining towns and villages of South & West Yorkshire, Civic Green came to prominence in 2020 with debut singles "There Is Always A Light" and "City Streets". With unmistakable northern grit, determination, and raw honesty, they quickly carved a name for themselves as one of the UK's most exciting new acts.
In 2022, they pushed their sound to new heights with the release of their debut EP, Sailing The River. With its wholesome blend of British indie rock tones and orchestral backing, the EP was hailed as a triumph, with ThisIsTheMusic calling it “one of the best debut EP’s I’ve ever heard" and Louderthanwar commenting on the EP closer 'The Writing's On The Wall' “It’s a majestic song, with all the swagger and craft of early Oasis.”
