About The Event
14th December sees the event Gŵyl y Gaeaf that celebrates everything Welsh this festive season!
All the proceeds from ticket sales and merch sold on the night will go to Feed Newport Food Bank.
We have Dylan Thomas who curates tales of the Mari Lwyd, folk music, fiction and food & drink to warm your soul. Diverse Vinyl formed the idea when asked if they wanted copies of Dylan's 'A Child's Christmas In Wales' which is narrated by Iwan Rheon.
Subsequently, this has now become a bit of a night!
Ludicrously talented folk guitarist Gwenifer Raymond graciously agreed to play a headline set and Russ Williams, author of excellent book ‘Where The Folk: A Welsh Folklore Road Trip’ enthusiastically agreed to bring some friends and educated us about the Mari Lwyd and other Welsh characters.
