About The Event
Singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer, King Zepha will bring his all-star band to LePub in Newport on 8 August 2026 as part of a European tour, promoting his new album, 'The Return of King Zepha'. His original music fuses jazz, blues and soul with ska, rocksteady, dub and global rhythms, and features wailing horns, thunderous double bass and stunning 3-part vocal harmonies.
As well as performing at hundreds of festivals and grassroots venues around the world, King Zepha has collaborated with The Hempolics, John Newman and one of the founding fathers of Jamaican ska, Owen Gray, and his music has been championed by BBC 6 Music's Craig Charles, the jazz trumpeter and presenter of BBC Radio 2's 'Top Brass' show, James Morrison, and the legendary reggae producer, Dennis Bovell.
