About The Event
Soft Hearted Scientists are a Cardiff based modern psychedelic group. They blend a vast array of guitars, vintage synths and organs, electronics and sound effects, real drums, percussion, (including household items) and electronic beats.
They came together through a common love of early Pink Floyd, The Doors, the Beach Boys, The Incredible String Band, Kraftwerk, The Beta Band, Air, early Super Furry Animals, the books of Richard Brautigan, and vintage black and white horror films like “Night of the Demon” and “I walked with a Zombie”.
While searching for meteor fragments in the Garwnant Forest Centre near Merthyr Tydfil, they made a solemn blood oath under a quarter moon to carry the torch for head spinning, technicolour psychedelic music to take the edge off these grim times.
