The Socials + Luke RV

The Socials are a Newport punk, grime and indie crossover band fusing spoken-word delivery, shouty melodic hooks and raw, guitar-driven energy. Fronted by MC Fernquest alongside Woody and Consumer Smith, their sound sits between The Streets, Wiley and Madness - sharp, working-class and unapologetic.

Their lyrics tackle mental health, addiction, escapism and everyday survival with humour and a quietly nihilistic edge. Since starting in 2026, they’re already stepping onto bigger stages with new releases and strong early backing from BBC Introducing, kicking off live shows supporting sold-out dates for Dub Pistols and local grime MC Local.
